RCVS Recognised Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Surgery
Sam graduated from The University of Cambridge Veterinary School in 1993 and has worked exclusively in small animal practice since. Following 2 years in Cambridgeshire, she moved to the Thames Valley to work within a group of practices, later becoming a clinical director for two hospitals.
She achieved her RCVS Certificate in Small Animal Surgery in 2001 and became an RCVS recognised Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Surgery in 2015.
Since achieving her certificate Sam has worked as a lead surgeon managing both orthopaedic and soft tissue surgical cases, accepting internal and external referrals. In 2019 she joined a multidisciplinary referral centre in Marlow as a soft tissue surgery clinician where she has worked until recently.
Sam enjoys all aspects of surgery but her primary interest lies with soft tissue surgery and is very happy to see a wide variety of soft tissue cases including BOAS cases, oncological resections and reconstruction, maxillofacial surgery, abdominal and perineal surgery.
